From the 6th of January 2012 administrative liability for violating the requirements of the national internet segment use was introduced in Belarus (implementing the decree № 60 "On measures for improvement of the internet national segment " dated by February 1st, 2010). These changes are aimed at creating favourable conditions for Belarusian businesses, ensuring transparency of web-business, protecting Belarusian internet users from the information banned by the law (trafficking, pornography, promoting violence, cruelty, etc.).
We would like to draw the attention of the Beneficiary and partner organisations and stakeholders participating in the Programme that the access to internet resources (including foreign) is not limited in Belarus.
We advice the Latvian, Lithuanian and Belarusian Beneficiaries and partners to continue communicating using regular internet tools.
