On the 24th April 2013 the official opening of the action BELLA CUISINE “Culinary Service Improvement in Latgale and Vitebsk regions, based on Culinary Heritage concept” (LLB-2-266) took place in Krāslava. The event combined the 1st Steering Committee and project implementation unit meetings. The representative of the Latvia, Lithuania and Belarus Cross-Border Cooperation Programme Lolita Čepurnaja (Information specialist of Branch Office in Latvia) also took part in it answering questions of participants about project implementation.
The information on the concept of European Culinary Heritage Network and the experience of Latgale region participating in it as well as details about planned project activities were presented during the event. The participants also visited the location where the future international centre of culinary heritage will be established in the frame of BELLA CUISINE project.
The Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus in Latvia Mr. Aleksandr Gerasimenko, the Consul General of the Republic of Belarus in Daugavpils Mr. Viktor Geysik, the Consul of the Republic of Latvia in Vitebsk Ms. Dagnija Lāce-Ate, the representatives of Aglona, Krāslava, Dagda, Rēzekne, Ludza, Polotsk, Lepel, Glubokoje, Verkhnedvinsk, Miory municipalities, regional authorities of Latvia and Belarus were among the participants of the event.
