Project idea: Kaunas District is rich in cultural and historical heritage. There are 20 mounds which remembers glorious past of Lithuania. However we have only few of them which are arranged prepared and applied to the recreational needs and can be visited by tourists or used by local community for public events or other leisure needs.
That is why Kaunas district municipality is keen on creation of a new tourism product connecting if not all, then some of the mounds into tourism route. Project idea includes arranging area around the mounds, making it possible to visit them, and also to create possible infrastructure for public events, gatherings (e.g. small amphitheater using natural landscape etc.).
